Recipe: Kale Chips

Quick, crunchy snacks are my weakness and this kale chips recipe comes top on my list. Kale has become a superstar food over the last few years thanks to its rich nutritional value. It’s such a powerhouse whole food rich in fiber, Vitamins A, K, C, E, Calcium, antioxidants, and most importantly — it tastes great!

Kale truly deserves its position as a star. It is a versatile vegetable that goes perfectly well in smoothies, salads, stir-fries and even chips! Yes, CHIPS!

Read on for my all time favorite Kale Chips recipe! I promise this batch will not last long…

Preheat your oven to 300F, grab a bunch of Kale leaves and get started!
Remove the stems and wash thoroughly.fullsizerender5Tear Kale leaves into chips size pieces and, in small batches, spin the leaves dry in a salad spinner. fullsizerender2Toss the dry leaves with 1-2 Tablespoons of your favorite dressing! I LOVE the citrus mix of olive oil and lemon juice. Use your hands to distribute the dressing evenly. fullsizerender9Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the leaves into a single layer to ensure all chips are evenly baked and not soggy.1Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and pepper, or any other seasoning you like. fullsizerender11Pop the tray in the oven, and…fullsizerender3…after just 8-10 minutes, the chips will be done! Set your timer and keep an eye on the kale. If the chips burns, they’ll be bitter.img_3978Once the kale’s out of the oven, season with a squeeze of lemon juice. Cool for just a few minutes on the baking sheet to allow the kale chips to crisp up even more.

Crunch on and remember to share!kale-chipsNext time you’re craving something with crunch, reach for these yummy chips!
